About Levi Moore

Levi B. Moore, Jr. is a public sector veteran with more than 20 years of experience in government relations, public sector and not-for-profit management, public policy and business communications. Although his career has primarily centered around Illinois state government, he has also worked extensively with municipal governments, with federal government agencies and in international trade.

That background is supplemented with working knowledge as a small business operator and advisor to large businesses to give him a unique and lucid perspective on how to help public - sector, private-sector and non-profit clients.    This is particularly valuable to clients with atypical and/or complex needs and issues.

In addition to operating the PROXY 2.0 government relations/business communications consulting practice, Moore is involved in four other professional endeavors:

þ
He is one of two Principals of the Communications Network Development Partnership (CNDP), a consulting entity that provides community-based telecommunications services such as infrastructure audits and network development strategies;

þ
He is the Illinois Statehouse correspondent for the national E-news service Examiner.com, providing a regular column on Illinois government issues; and

þ
He serves part-time as the Executive Director of the National Veterans Art Museum (NVAM.org).

The balance of Moore’s professional background includes working as a Senior Associate for Korn/Ferry International, Radio/Video Program Coordinator for East St. Louis, IL School District #189 and co-owner of his family’s kitchen cabinet manufacturing business - Model Woodcraft.

In terms of education, Moore has  B.S. degree in journalism from Northwestern University with graduate-level work in political science.  Although he has spent the majority of his adult life in Chicago, he is a native of the St. Louis metropolitan area (Metro-East) and can tout extensive global travel as an enhancement to his personal and professional ife.
