Economic Development

PROXY 2.0 defines economic development as a convergence of business, community and workforce development.  Typically a flaw or weakness in one component will negatively impact the other two.

PROXY 2.0 has experience in working in all three areas, thus giving it an advantage over other firms.  In addition, by working with a cadre of partners, if needed, PROXY 2.0 can provide literally any type of economic development assistance a community or company may have, as is evidenced by the following examples:

#1 – Tax Credits

Working on assignment for Atlas E.D.C., a Chicago, IL based public financing firm, PROXY 2.0 identified more than $400,000 in federal workforce development related tax credits for a service industry firm.

#2 – Pembroke Township

Working as a Principal of the Communications Network Development Partnership, secured a $1.6 million U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration grant and a $750,000 State of Illinois Community Development Assistance Program grant to fund a small business incubator for Pembroke Township, IL.

CNDP also identified funding for and wrote a community-wide telecommunications audit, a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) Plan and a Food Processing Network Feasibility Study and continues to serve as the official economic development consul for the community.
